Screen Resolution Considerations
The Dashboard considers the screen resolution of the user.
- When you create a page with dashviews and widgets, the dashview and widget sizes are derived from the screen resolution. If a user creates the same page, but uses a different screen resolution, the pages look the same.
- The Dashboard can change the page according to the screen resolution of the user. For example, the administrator creates a page in 1280x1024 screen resolution and assigns it to a user. When the user opens that page, it automatically adjusts itself according to the user screen resolution.
- To view the same page on more than one machine with different screen resolutions, logout and login again to view the changes on the other machines.
Notes:
To use the Dashboard without the screen resolution adjustment, go to Administration, Site Settings, Advanced, Configuration, Dashboard, General. Then set the Enable screen resolution adjustment parameter to false. This setting has an impact on all the users.
The Dashboard considers the screen resolution as defined in the operating system. The Dashboard does not consider the user work area in the browser, which is smaller than the screen resolution.
