Import Content

Import is used to import contracts, metrics and other entities (individual and batches) by means of Excel files.

Introduction

CA Business Service Insight enables users to import and integrate data from other applications with data generated here. The import from Excel feature imports and integrates existing business data, automatically, from Excel and other systems.

Importing from Excel files can be used in order to create entities (such as contracts) in bulk, quickly (by copying and pasting within Excel environment) and then importing the contents of the resulting Excel file into CA Business Service Insight.

Download Template

The Template file contains instructions on how to fill in the spreadsheet. For this reason, you should download the Template file and review the instructions before you perform the actual import.

  1. Go to Administration, Content Transfer, Import Content.

    The Import Content window displays

  2. Click the Download Template button to download the template file.
  3. Save and read the Import Template file (Excel).
  4. Continue with the import procedure.
