Test a Translation Script

When viewing or editing a translation script, you can test the script by clicking Script Scope. The Script Scope window that is displayed, comprises of three tabs.

• Translation Entries: Displays all the translation entries defined in the script’s filter. If the filter contains more than 100 translation entries, the entries are displayed in pages.
• Results
• Message and Errors

To test a translation script

1. In the Translation Script Details page, click Script Scope. The Script Scope page is displayed.
2. If desired, click Translation Entries to find the translation entries for the script.
3. If desired, click Settings to limit the translation script run time and to control which debug log messages are written to the log. The Script Scope Setting dialog is displayed.

   Note: By default, all check boxes are cleared and the timeout is set to 10 seconds.

   1. Select the desired options and set the timeout (the timeout must contain an integer number from 1 through 600).
   2. Click OK.
4. Click Run to start the script test. The script runs and the Results tab is displayed.
   • In the Results tab, the results displayed include:
     • Results: If the translation script was successful, function results returns are displayed. If the translation script failed, the reason for the failure is displayed.
     • Session ID: The unique ID used to find the log records in the future.
   • In the Message and Errors tab, up to 500 entries are displayed. If there are more than 500 records, only the first 500 records are displayed.
