Test a Translation Script
When viewing or editing a translation script, you can test the script by clicking Script Scope. The Script Scope window that is displayed, comprises of three tabs.
- Translation Entries: Displays all the translation entries defined in the script’s filter. If the filter contains more than 100 translation entries, the entries are displayed in pages.
- Results
- Message and Errors
To test a translation script
- In the Translation Script Details page, click Script Scope. The Script Scope page is displayed.
- If desired, click Translation Entries to find the translation entries for the script.
- If desired, click Settings to limit the translation script run time and to control which debug log messages are written to the log. The Script Scope Setting dialog is displayed.
Note: By default, all check boxes are cleared and the timeout is set to 10 seconds.
- Select the desired options and set the timeout (the timeout must contain an integer number from 1 through 600).
- Click OK.
- Click Run to start the script test. The script runs and the Results tab is displayed.
- In the Results tab, the results displayed include:
- Results: If the translation script was successful, function results returns are displayed. If the translation script failed, the reason for the failure is displayed.
- Session ID: The unique ID used to find the log records in the future.
- In the Message and Errors tab, up to 500 entries are displayed. If there are more than 500 records, only the first 500 records are displayed.
