By default, clicking on an entity category displays a list of all the entities. To shorten the list, entity categories shown in the catalog can be filtered by clicking on 
next to any category. A filter window displays for each category with the Metrics category, in particular, having a mandatory filter that helps in avoiding prolonged waiting periods when large amounts of metrics are setup in the system.
