SCRATCH is an optional control statement used to specify the number of scratch tapes required at the receiving site. The format for the SCRATCH control statement is:
SCRATCH=xxx
Control Statement Definition
Indicates the number of scratch volumes to be exported. If this number is not satisfied by the volume serial numbers presented as input to TMSSPLIT, then records in scratch status in the sending TMC are selected arbitrarily to satisfy the number specified.
