ACTION Control Statement

ACTION is an optional control statement used to specify, in the sending TMC, the disposition of the TMC records selected for export. If the ACTION statement is omitted the TMC record is unchanged. The format for the ACTION control statement is:

       { SCRATCH }
ACTION={ outcode }

Control Statement Definition

SCRATCH

Indicates that after a TMC record is moved to the extract tape, its expiration date in the TMC is set to the current date, making it eligible for scratch processing by TMSCLEAN.

outcode

Is a one- to four-character out-of-area code. After a TMC record is moved to the export tape, OUTCODE is moved to the OUTCODE field in the TMC. The current date is moved to the OUTDATE field.
