When you select a resource from the Search Results section, its properties are displayed in the Properties section. You can use the Properties section to create, update, and copy virtual resources to any CA Workload Automation AE instance or machine.
This section contains the following fields:
Specifies the name of the virtual resource. You can enter one or more names, separated by commas, or select a previously-defined name from the drop-down list. This field is required.
Specifies the name of the machine that is defined on the CA Workload Automation AE instance where the virtual resource is saved. You can enter one or more names, separated by commas. Clicking
opens the Select Machines dialog, from which you can select a specific machine or multiple machines.
Specifies the number of resources included in the definition. You can enter an amount or select a previously-defined amount from the drop-down list. This field is required.
Indicates the type of virtual resource. Supported virtual resource types are Renewable, Depletable, and Threshold.
Note: The Type option buttons are disabled when updating a virtual resource.
Specifies an optional comment that describes the virtual resource.
Specifies whether to create a new virtual resource or to update an existing virtual resource.
Specifies the CA Workload Automation AE instance on which the virtual resource resides.
This section contains the following buttons:
Executes the Update or Create command.
Clears all fields in the Properties section.
Specifies whether to increase or decrease the number of resources by the number entered in the Amount field. Clicking the buttons, and then clicking OK to confirm the action, automatically updates the resource amounts and displays a confirmation message in the Properties section; you do not need to select Update.
Note: When Create is selected from the drop-down list, the buttons are disabled.
