Edit a Virtual Resource

You can edit a resource definition, for example, to change the amount defined for a selected virtual resource.

Follow these steps:

1. Find the appropriate resource.
2. Click the name of that resource.

   The detailed properties for the resource are displayed in the Properties section.

3. Edit the resource as necessary.
4. Select Update from the drop-down list, then click Commit.

   The changes are saved.

Notes:

• In the Properties section, you can edit multiple virtual resources, on one or more machines, at a single time by selecting the server on which the resources reside, entering the resource names and machines in a comma-separated list in the appropriate fields, changing the values in the Amount or Description fields, then clicking Update.
• The resources must exist on the selected server in order to be modified. Existing resources are updated until a resource in the specified list is not found. If this occurs, the action stops and an error message is displayed.
• The Type option buttons are disabled when you are editing a virtual resource.
