Edit a Virtual Resource
You can edit a resource definition, for example, to change the amount defined for a selected virtual resource.
Follow these steps:
- Find the appropriate resource.
- Click the name of that resource.
The detailed properties for the resource are displayed in the Properties section.
- Edit the resource as necessary.
- Select Update from the drop-down list, then click Commit.
The changes are saved.
Notes:
- In the Properties section, you can edit multiple virtual resources, on one or more machines, at a single time by selecting the server on which the resources reside, entering the resource names and machines in a comma-separated list in the appropriate fields, changing the values in the Amount or Description fields, then clicking Update.
- The resources must exist on the selected server in order to be modified. Existing resources are updated until a resource in the specified list is not found. If this occurs, the action stops and an error message is displayed.
- The Type option buttons are disabled when you are editing a virtual resource.
