Search

The main page of Quick Edit contains the Search section. You can search for specific objects, or, using character strings and wildcard characters, object groups. All searches are limited to the selected server and object type.

This section contains the following fields:

Server

Specifies the server on which the object resides.

Note: CA EEM policies control the server list. Only those servers you have access to are listed.

Type

Specifies the type of object you want to find. Object types are Job, Top-level Box Job, Calendar, Cycle, Global Variable, and Machine.

Notes:

Selecting Job or Top-level Box Job displays additional fields for which you can specify search criteria.
Performing a search on a box job object returns the top-level box jobs, which can be expanded to view any nested jobs or box jobs.

Name

Specifies the name of the object you want to find. You can use an asterisk (*) or a percentage sign (%) as a wildcard character to represent multiple characters, or use a question mark (?) as a wildcard character to represent any single character.

Notes:

The Name field contains a full search history, and supports auto-complete, to assist you in quickly locating objects.
For global variables, entering ALL in the Name field returns the same results as the asterisk (*).
