Search (Job)

Selecting Job from the Type drop-down list displays the search section with additional fields you can use to further refine your search.

The Search section contains the following fields for jobs:

Box

Specifies the name of the box job that contains the job. You can use an asterisk (*) or a percentage sign (%) as a wildcard character to represent multiple characters, or use a question mark (?) as a wildcard character to represent any single character.

Limits: 0-64 alphanumeric characters

Send to machine

Specifies the name of the server on which the job will run. You can use an asterisk (*) or a percentage sign (%) as a wildcard character to represent multiple characters, or use a question mark (?) as a wildcard character to represent any single character.

Clicking Click to search for an object. opens the Search Machine dialog.

Limits: 0-80 alphanumeric characters

Owner

Specifies the user ID under which the job will run on the client server. You can use an asterisk (*) or a percentage sign (%) as a wildcard character to represent multiple characters, or use a question mark (?) as a wildcard character to represent any single character.

Limits: 0-145 alphanumeric characters

Run calendar

Specifies the run calendar associated with the job.

Clicking Click to search for an object. opens the Search Calendar dialog.

Limits: 0-30 alphanumeric characters

Group

Specifies the group to which a job is assigned. You can use an asterisk (*) or a percentage sign (%) as a wildcard character to represent multiple characters, or use a question mark (?) as a wildcard character to represent any single character.

Limits: 0-64 alphanumeric characters

Run Days

Indicates to include those jobs that are scheduled to run on the days selected from the associated check boxes. When you select multiple check boxes, AND logic is used to evaluate the criteria. For example, if you select the check boxes for SU and MO, then the search will return all jobs containing Sunday and Monday in the schedule.

Application

Specifies the application to which a job is assigned. You can use an asterisk (*) or a percentage sign (%) as a wildcard character to represent multiple characters, or use a question mark (?) as a wildcard character to represent any single character.

Limits: 0-64 alphanumeric characters

Exclude calendar

Specifies the exclude calendar associated with the job.

Clicking Click to search for an object. opens the Search Calendar dialog.

Limits: 0-30 alphanumeric characters

Description

Specifies the description provided for a job. You can type some or all of the description for which to search, using the asterisk (*), percentage sign (%), or question mark (?) as a wildcard character to replace one or more characters in the search string.

Limits: 0-500 alphanumeric characters

Min run time

Specifies the minimum run time, in minutes, that the job is scheduled to run. Valid operators are =, !=, <, >, <=, and >=. The supported format is operator VALUE. If no operator is used, then the value entered in the field equates to equal (=).

Example: < 300, != 5

Max run time

Specifies the maximum run time, in minutes, in which the job should complete the run. Valid operators are =, !=, <, >, <=, and >=. The supported format is operator VALUE. If no operator is used, then the value entered in the field equates to equal (=).

Example: < 300, != 5

Job Types

Specifies one or more job types for which to search.

Clicking Click to search for an object. opens the Select Job Types dialog, from which you can select the type or types of jobs to return.

Example: Entering fw,box in the Job Types field will display a list of all file watcher jobs and box jobs that match all other search criteria.
