Create a Global Variable

You can create a global variable if you have a set of jobs you want to run based on specific criteria.

Follow these steps:

  1. Click Create.

    The Create Object dialog opens.

  2. Select the appropriate server from the Server drop-down list and click the Global Variable link.

    The Properties section is displayed with the properties relevant to global variables.

  3. Define your global variable by doing the following:
    1. Enter a name for the new global variable in the Name field.

      Note: The name can contain up to 64 characters.

    2. Enter a value for the new global variable in the Value field.

      Note: The value can contain up to 100 characters.

  4. Click Commit.

    The global variable is saved.
