Summary Tab (View-Based)

The Summary tab provides a statistical summary of jobs and alerts and an overall severity status. From this tab, you are also automatically notified if a new alert is issued for the view. The Summary tab is displayed when you open a view from the Dashboard or the Navigation pane on the Monitoring page. The Summary tab is divided into the following sections:

• Status Summary—Displays the overall severity status for the view, the name of the view, the job-based status, the alert-based status, and the server-based status. This section also displays the last job status change status date and time and the description of the view.

  Note: The last status update changes when the status of the overall view is changed or when the view is edited.

• Job Status—Displays all of the available job statuses, the number of jobs with each status, the total number of jobs in the view, and the percentage for each status for a selected view in a graphical and tabular layout.
• Alerts by Severity—Displays the number of alerts by severity (critical, high, medium, and low), the total number of alerts by severity, and the percentage for each severity in a graphical and tabular layout.
• Alerts by Status—Displays the number of alerts by status (open, acknowledged, and closed), the total number of alerts by status, and the percentage for each status in a graphical and tabular layout.
• View Filters—Displays the name of the server, the filter applied to the view, and the alert policy, if applicable. The Active column indicates whether the filter is active or inactive.

This tab contains the following fields:

Auto Refresh

Indicates whether to refresh the data at a regular interval, as specified in Configuration.

Last Updated

Specifies the date and time the data was last updated.

This tab contains the following buttons:

New Alerts/No New Alerts

Indicates that a new alert has been issued for this view or that no new alert has been issued since the last confirmation.

Refresh

Refreshes the page to include changes since the last refresh.
