Monitoring Tab

Monitoring lets you create and manage a list of available views and monitor individual view statuses and alerts. The Monitoring tab contains sections that display the available views, including the highest severity job and server status of each view. From this tab, you can create a view, edit, copy, delete, export, or import existing views, and display additional information about a view as needed. You can also view a list of servers configured in CA WCC that you are authorized to use, and send server events from the Servers table.

This tab consists of the following:

• The left pane contains sections that enable you to navigate the Monitoring views. The following sections are available:
  • Views—Displays a list of all views and open views.
  • Servers—Contains a list of all servers configured for CA WCC that you are authorized to use.
  • Alert Policies—Displays the Alert Policies in the right pane.
• The right pane contains detailed information about the views, servers, and alerts selected from the Navigation pane. A Jobs and Alerts tab and a Summary tab are also displayed in the right pane when a view is opened. This pane contains the following sections:
  • Views Filter—Specifies search criteria with which to locate a view.
  • Views—Displays a filtered table of available views.
  • Servers Filter—Specifies the name of the server for which you want to search.
  • Servers—Displays a table of all servers configured for CA WCC that you are authorized to use.
  • Jobs Filter—Specifies search criteria with which to locate a specific job or box job.
  • Jobs—Displays a table of jobs contained in a selected view or server.
  • Alerts Filter—Specifies search criteria with which to locate a specific alert.
  • Alerts—Displays a table of alerts contained in a selected view or server.
  • Alert Policies Filter—Specifies search criteria with which to locate a specific alert policy.
  • Alert Policies—Displays a table of alert policies created on this CA WCC server.
  • Jobs and Alerts tab—Displays detailed information about the jobs and alerts for the selected view.
  • Summary tab—Displays a statistical summary of jobs and alerts for the current server or view. You can view the Summary tab and quickly determine the overall status.
