Installing Access Control Interface Exits in the VM Control Program

The use of the CA VM:Secure Rules Facility requires you to incorporate a set of replacement TEXT files into your VM CP component. These files implement the Access Control Interface (ACI) exit routines described in the CP Programming Services document for your release of VM. The instructions provided here must be followed when you first install CA VM:Secure. Some or all of these steps must be followed whenever one of the following events occur:

• You add, delete, or modify any statement in the VMXRPI CONFIG file
• You upgrade the release of CA VM:Secure
• You apply CA VM:Secure service to the ACI TEXT files
• You upgrade the release of VM
• You apply IBM service to the CP component of your VM system
