Creating a New Solution

The Solution option allows you to create a personalized Object Tree consisting of certain views from the Object Tree. You create a solution by selecting categories, objects, or User Views from the Object Tree and grouping them in a window.

To create a new solution

  1. Select Solutions, then Customize on the main menu toolbar.

    The Solutions view is displayed.

  2. Click the Create new solution icon from the Solutions dialog as shown in the following example:

  3. Name the new solution in the Save New Solution As... dialog.

    In the following example we name the new solution as "New SRM Solution."

  4. Click OK.

    The new Solution window is displayed as shown in the following example:

  5. To add items to the new solution, drag-and-drop objects and views from the Object Tree into the Solution window, as shown in the following example:

    The Windows Client adds the new solution to the Solutions list.

All the standard menu functions available for objects and views in the Object Tree are also available to the solution.
