Specify IP Addresses for Global Policies
You can specify an IP address, range of IP addresses, or a subnet mask that users must use in order for a global policy to fire. For example, if you specify a range of IP addresses, only those users who login in from one of the specified IP addresses will trigger the global policy.
The process for specifying IP address for global policies is identical to the process for specifying IP addresses for domain-specific policies.
To specify IP addresses:
- In the Global Policy Properties dialog box, click on the IP Addresses tab.
- Click on the Add... button.
The Add an IP Address dialog box opens.
- Select one of the radio buttons to indicate whether you want to add a Single Host, Host Name, Subnet Mask, or Range of IP addresses to the global policy.
- Fill in the appropriate information based on your selection. (Refer to the following sections for details.)
- Click OK to save IP address information and return to the SiteMinder Policy dialog box.
