Specify a Single IP Address for a Global Policy

You can specify a single IP address for a global policy. If you specify a single IP address, the global policy only fires for users who access the policy’s resources from the specified IP address.

To specify a single IP address for a global policy

  1. In the Add an IP Address dialog box, click on the Single Host radio button.

The dialog box changes to display the fields associated with your selection.

  2. Enter an IP Address in the fields provided.

If you do not know the IP address, but you have a domain name for the address, you can click on the DNS Lookup button to open the DNS Lookup dialog box.

Enter a fully qualified host name in the Host Name field and click OK. The DNS Lookup dialog box closes and the IP address for the host name you entered appears in the Global Policy Properties dialog box.

  3. Click OK to save the IP address and return to the Global Policy Properties dialog box.

The IP address appears in the list of addresses in the Global Policy Properties dialog box.
