LDAP User DN Lookup Group Box

Start field

Text string that will act as the beginning of an LDAP search expression or user DN. When a user attempts to login, the Policy Server prepends this string to the beginning of the username.

Search expressions depend on the setup of your user directory.

End field

Text string that will act as the end of an LDAP search expression or user DN. When a user attempts to login, the Policy Server appends the End string to the end of the username. The combination of the Start string, username, and End string is used to search the LDAP user directory.

An example of the search expression or user DN that the Policy Server will use to query the LDAP user directory based on the Start and End fields is displayed in the LDAP User DN Lookup Group Box.

Note: Whenever you use the Policy Server User Interface to update parameters relating to an LDAP connection, restart the Policy Server to make the new parameters effective.
