The SiteMinder User Directory Dialog allows you to configure a connection between the Policy Server and a user store. The Dialog contains four tabs:
Identifies the namespace (type of user store), specifies the directory or database that contains user data, and, if necessary, provides additional information on how to locate user data in the directory or database.
Specifies administrator credentials that the Policy Server uses to access the user store. For LDAP namespaces, you can also specify whether or not you are connecting to the LDAP server using a secure connection (SSL). For Active Directory, WinNT directories and custom directories, you can specify whether or not to use an authenticated user’s security context when connecting to SiteMinder.
Designates user profile attributes that will be used by the Policy Server to store data for SiteMinder features, including Password Services and Registration Services.
Opens the Directory List Dialog which you can use to the contents of the directory specified in the User Directory Dialog.
The type of user directory connection you choose determines the fields of information you must complete for a directory connection.
