Assign User Directories

In the User Directories tab of the SiteMinder Policy Domain dialog you specify the user directories associated with a policy domain. When the Policy Server attempts to authenticate users, it compares their credentials to the directories you specify in this tab.

To assign user directories to a policy domain

  1. Select the User Directories tab.
  2. From the drop-down list box at the bottom of the tab, select a user directory you want to include in the policy domain.
  3. Click the Add button.

The Policy Server User Interface adds the directory to the list displayed in the User Directories tab.

  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for all user directories you want to associate with the policy domain.
  5. Optionally, you can create a user directory from this dialog by clicking Create.

The User Directory dialog opens. Create the user directory as explained in User Directories on page 161. When you save the new User Directory and close the User Directory dialog, the directory you created appears in the User Directories tab in the SiteMinder Policy Domain dialog.

  6. Click Apply.

The Policy Server User Interface saves your changes.
