Configure a Policy Domain

When you configure a policy domain, you assign user directories and administrators. You can also create realms as described in the next chapter.

Note: You can edit a policy domain’s properties if you need to add an administrator or realm in the future.

Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.

To configure a new policy domain

  1. Log into the Policy Server User Interface.
  2. From the menu bar of the SiteMinder Administration window, select Edit, System Configuration, Create Domain.

    The SiteMinder Domain dialog opens.

  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the policy domain.
  4. In the Description field, enter a brief description of the policy domain.
