Configure a Domain Administrator

A domain administrator can only manage objects in one or more specified policy domains.

To configure a domain administrator

  1. Complete the steps outlined in Configure Administrator Identity and Authentication Details.
  2. In the Scope group box, select the Domain radio button.

    The Scope group box changes to a list of selected policy domains.

  3. If the list of domains is empty or incorrect, click Add/Remove....

    The Domain Manager for These Domains dialog opens.

  4. In the Available Members list, highlight the policy domains that the new administrator can manage, then click the Left Arrow button.

    Adds the selected policy domains to the Current Members list.

  5. Click OK.

    The Domain Manager for These Domains dialog closes and the selected policy domains appear in the list in the Scope group box of the SiteMinder Administrator dialog.

  6. In the Tasks group box, select one or more of the following check boxes to assign privileges to the administrator:
