Edit Multiple Objects

The Policy Server User Interface allows you to select multiple objects from the list pane so that you can edit multiple objects from one of the object dialogs. You can use the CTRL and SHIFT keys to select multiple objects in the List pane.

To edit multiple Policy Server objects

  1. In the Object pane, click on the System Configuration or the Policy Domain Configuration tab.

    The tab you select depends on whether the object must be configured by an administrator with the Manage All System and Domain Objects privilege or the Manage Domain Objects privilege.

    Note: If you login as an administrator for specific policy domains, there are no tabs to chose from in the Object pane. Instead, the available objects are simply listed in the Object pane.

  2. In the Object pane, click on an object type.

    The List pane displays all existing objects of the selected type.

  3. Select multiple objects in the List pane by doing one of the following:
  4. Open the dialog associated with the selected objects by doing one of the following:
  5. Modify the information in the dialog for each object.

    See the chapter associated with the object type for detailed information about the fields and controls contained in the dialog.

    Note: When you create or modify a Policy Server object in the Policy Server User Interface, use ASCII characters. Object creation or modification with non-ASCII characters is not supported.

  6. When you finish editing an object, click the Apply button to save the object without closing the dialog.
  7. When you finish editing the last object click the OK button to save the object and close the dialog.
