Display a CA SOI Alert Instance

After you run the CreateTicket process, you can display the process instance to view the parameter values that are passed to HP Service Manager. Use this procedure to verify that any custom or mandatory fields that you added are applied when an HP Service Manager incident is created.

Follow these steps:

  1. Select CA SM Gateway from the Folders pane in the CA Process Automation Client application.

The CA Process Automation HP Service Manager Gateway integration processes display.

  2. Double-click GatewayProcessWatch.

A list of filters displays in the left pane.

  3. Expand and select the HPSM/CreateTicket filter.

A list of available instance filters appears in the Filters pane and a list of instances that satisfy the filter criteria display in the right pane. For example, if you select All Instances, a list of all instances appears in the right pane.

  4. Double-click an instance.

The CreateTicket_<ProcessID> pane displays. The initial view is the Main Editor, which provides a graphical representation of the process.

  5. Select the Dataset tab.

The Local_Dataset pane on the left displays the parameters used in the process in the following two categories:

    System

Lists CA Process Automation system-generated variables, including the parameters that were set during configuration.

    Page 1

Lists parameters that were received from CA SOI.

  6. Select HPSM_ within the System list.

The HPSM values that were used in this instance of the CreateTicket process are displayed.

  7. Select Page 1.

A list of parameters displays. These parameters represent the alert attributes from CA SOI used in this instance of the CreateTicket process and local variables that were passed from the parent process.
