Download and Install the HP Service Manager RAD Application

To support the automatic clearance of alerts, HP provides a RAD application for a component named us.launch.external.NEW. This component allows HP Service Manager to call a Windows batch file. The batch file calls a CA Process Automation process. CA SOI uses this component to implement callbacks from HP Service Manager triggers to CA SOI. You download this component from the HP website and install this component into HP Service Manager.

Follow these steps:

1. On the HP website locate and download uslaunchNEW9x.zip to the HP Service Manager server.
2. Launch HP Service Manager.
3. In the System Navigator, expand the Tailoring and Web Services folders.
4. Select Database Manager.
5. Right-click anywhere in the right pane and select Select Import/Load.
6. Complete the following fields:
   • File Name: Enter the path to the .unl file.
   • File Type: Select winnt from the drop-down list.
7. Click Load FG.

   The file appears as us.launch.external.NEW in the READ Encyclopedia.
