Configure Processes for HP Service Manager Integration
You configure the processes by which CA Process Automation communicates with CA SOI and HP Service Manager. This configuration requires the following files, which are included on the CA SOI installation media.
- For CA Catalyst HPSM connector r2.5, r3.1: CA SM Gateway.xml
- For CA Catalyst HPSM connector r3.2: CA SM Gateway For Catalyst 3.2 Connector.xml
- HP Service Manager and Custom Operators.xml
Follow these steps:
- Follow these steps for CA Process Automation r3.1 or go to Step 2 for CA Process Automation r4.0/4.1:
- Click CA Process Automation Client at the upper right of the CA Process Automation Management Console.
A JNLP application starts and the Process Automation Client displays.
- Click the Configuration Browser tab.
The Configuration Browser tab page displays.
- Expand Default Environment in the Browser pane and double-click Orchestrator.
The Folders pane displays on the left and an empty Environment pane displays on the right.
- Continue with Step 3.
- Click the Library tab.
- Right-click the root folder in the Folders pane and select Import.
A page opens for selecting a file to import.
- Locate the "CA SM Gateway.xml" file (for r2.5 or r3.1) or the "CA SM Gateway For Catalyst 3.2 Connector.xml" file on the CA SOI installation image at Disk1\Integrations\ITPAM-HPSM\ITPAM_Server_Files, and click Open.
- Select the 'Set imported version as current' check box to make the object current and click OK.
The processes are imported and the CA SM Gateway folder displays in the Folders pane.
- Complete Steps 4-6 to import the HP Service Manager Custom Operators.xml file, which is located on the CA SOI installation image at Disk1\Integrations\ITPAM-HPSM\ITPAM_Server_Files.
The HP Service Manager folder displays in the Folders pane.
- Select the CA SM Gateway folder.
The imported integration processes display in the Default Environment pane.
- Double-click the CreateTicket process.
- (CA Process Automation r3.1 Only) Click Edit User Preferences at the bottom-left of the screen. The User Preferences dialog opens.
- (CA Process Automation r3.1, r4.1 Only) Select all options except for "Default to horizontal line orientation" on the Configuration tab, select the Palette Properties tab and enter 12, and click OK.
- Verify that the process looks like the following graphic. The graphic shown is for CA Process Automation r3.1. The process flow for CA Process Automation r4.0/4.1 looks similar, but with different icons.
