Configure HP Service Manager Server Settings

You configure the HP Service Manager server settings within CA Process Automation to enable the connection between the two products.

Follow these steps:

  1. Start the CA Process Automation Management Console.
  2. Click User Requests.

    The User Requests pane opens.

    Note: If the pane does not open, recycle the console. Changes might not have been applied from a previous operation.

  3. Expand CA SM Gateway, right-click HPSMConfiguration, and select Start Request.

    The HPSM Configuration pane opens on the right. This pane contains fields that are needed for invoking the Configure HPSMServer process.

  4. Enter values for the following fields and click Next:
    isStartRequest

    Specifies that the process is being invoked from a Start request form.

    Default: true

    MaxConnect

    Defines the number of simultaneous HP Service Manager connections allowed.

    Default: 10

    The HPSM Connection Parameters pane opens on the right. This pane contains fields that are mandatory for incident creation.

  5. Enter values for the following fields and click Next.
    CatalystHostName

    Defines the server where the CA Catalyst connector for HP Service Manager is installed.

    CatalystPort

    Specifies the HP Service Manager connector REST web services port. It is the HTTP port that the CA Catalyst Container uses.

    Default: 7000

    isSSL

    Specifies whether CA Process Automation is communicating with CA Catalyst through SSL.

    WebServiceHost

    Defines the host name of the HP Service Manager server web service.

    WebServicePort

    Defines the port number of the HP Service Manager server web service.

    CatalystUserName

    Defines the CA Catalyst user name for the HP Service Manager connector (catalyst by default).

    CatalystPassword

    Defines the password for the specified CA Catalyst user.

    The HPSM Parameters page opens.

  6. Enter values for the following fields and click Next.
    WebServiceClient

    Defines the HP Service Manager web client URL. This URL will launch in context in CA SOI after an incident is created and attached to a CA SOI alert. Format the URL as follows:

    <HPSM-WEBCLIENT-HOSTNAME>:<PORT_NUMBER>/webtier-9.30/index.do?ctx=docEngine&file=probsummary&query=number%3D

    WebServiceSSL

    Specifies whether the HP Service Manager web client is configured to use SSL.

    AssignmentGroup

    Defines the assigned group name.

    Area

    Defines the incident area.

    Subarea

    Defines the incident subarea.

    Affected Service

    Defines the affected HP Service Manager service.

    DoAutoClose

    Specifies whether an HP Service Manager incident is closed when its associated CA SOI alert is cleared.

    DoAutoClearAlert

    Specifies whether a CA SOI alert is cleared when the associated HP Service Manager incident is closed.

    The HPSM Additional Parameters page opens. The fields on this page are not mandatory by default for incident creation.

  7. Enter values in the fields as necessary and click Next.

    The HPSM Custom Parameters page opens. The fields on this page are not mandatory by default for incident creation.

  8. Click Finish.

    The request displays on the Start Request Instances pane.
