Set Featured Services

As an administrator, you can specify services to appear to catalog user as featured services, both in the catalog root folder and its subfolders. Specifying featured services is helpful to highlight popular or required services so that users can more easily find and request them.

To add a service to the featured items list for an existing folder or service

  1. Click Service Builder, Services.

    The Services page appears. It displays the folders containing services, organized hierarchically according to category.

  2. Do one of the following:

    The Feature Items window opens.

  3. Expand the Catalog Tree on the left side of the Feature Items window. Select the services to appear as Featured Items for the folder or service being edited.
  4. Click the arrow to add the selected services to the Features Services list.

    Note: The Inherited Services portion of the Feature Items window displays the services that are already featured with this folder or service. They are featured with a parent folder whose Feature with Children check box is selected.

  5. Select each service in the Featured Services list for folders and specify the following options:
    Feature with Children

    Indicates that this service is featured when the user displays subfolders.

    Sort By

    Specifies how to sort the services in the Featured Items section of the Requests window when the user selects the folder.

    Sort Order

    Specifies how to sort the services in the Featured Items section of the Requests window when the user selects the folder.

  6. Verify that any image associated with this service is legible when viewed at 32 x 32 pixels. The guidelines for images are the same as when you add a new service.
  7. Click Save and click Close.

    The Featured Items window closes. You return to the Service Builder, Services page.

You have set featured services.
