Set Service Permissions

Setting permissions for a service means specifying the level of access that each role has to the service. Setting permissions helps safeguard the security and integrity of services.

To set permissions for services

  1. Click Service Builder, Services.

    The Services page appears. It displays the folders containing services, organized hierarchically according to category.

  2. Expand the tree and select the service whose permissions you want to set.
  3. Click the Edit button.

    The Service Details dialog appears.

  4. Click the Set Permissions button at the top of the dialog.

    The Set Permissions dialog appears. It displays access control level settings for each role and group (if applicable).

  5. Select Grant All Access to Everyone or set the Request/Subscribe permissions by user role and group (if applicable).
  6. Exit the dialogs by clicking OK on each of them.

    The Catalog system saves your updates.
