The View reservation templates link on the Reservation Manager home page lets you view templates that are available for reservations. You can reserve a system based on a template that you or the administrator created that contains some predefined resource requirements. Perform the following actions to reserve a system using a template.
Note: Some of the following options may not be available at all sites. The system administrator might have disabled them.
Both options may also let you reserve a system with no expiration date and time. The administrator controls whether unlimited end times are enabled, so this feature may not be available at all sites.
Times start and end on the hour, and the end time must be at least one hour after the start time. If you specify an end time that exceeds the number of days for which you can reserve a system, Reservation Manager rejects your request.
Lets you set the password for the Windows administrator or Linux root accounts.
Note: This field does not appear by default. The site administrator controls whether users can set the administrator or root password.
Displays the field if the administrator password is present. Enter the same password to verify it.
(Optional) Defines the ID that associates the request with a specific project. This field is useful for evaluating requests and for allocating or charging costs to a specific project.
The Reservation Manager administrator can configure this field so that it is required. In this case, the Reservation Manager displays a corresponding note in the information bar. You can submit your reservation request only after you enter a project ID. The Reservation Manager does not validate the entered value.
(Optional) Defines additional information you want to provide about the request.
(Optional) Defines the email address to which Reservation Manager sends notifications regarding this request. You can override any default value with a different address. Separate multiple email addresses with a semicolon. Reservation Manager sends email notifications when a reserved system is available for use and when the expiration of the reservation period is approaching.
