Home Page

From the Reservation Manager home page, you can create reservation requests, define templates based on requests for reuse, manage existing reservations, and view the inventory of available resources. The following use cases describe how you can use Reservation Manager to reserve equipment:

• Reserve a Physical System
• Create a virtual machine
• Create a virtual machine in the Amazon Cloud
• Reserve a system using a template
• View system inventory
• Reserve specific systems
• Reserve specific systems using a template
• View your reservations

If you are an administrator, the home page also contains an option for administering Reservation Manager.

Note: Depending on access restrictions the administrator applies, some user interface options may be unavailable.

Announcements

The home page contains an announcements area that administrators can use to communicate important information to users.

Reserved Systems

The bottom of the home page also lists the systems that are currently reserved for you. Among the information shown is the system name, reservation start and end dates and times, and job status.

Contact Us

The Reservation Manager administrator can configure a hyperlink in the upper right corner of the web page that lets you contact the administrator when needed. The default value is Contact Us.

The hyperlink appears only if its label and URL are configured.
