How to Upgrade from Version 3.2
Important! Before you uninstall your version of Eurkeify Sage, review the CA RCM architecture and system prerequisites to understand the new technical requirements for this release of CA RCM. You must also decide whether to implement CA RCM using a JBoss application server in a Windows operating environment, or a WebSphere application server in an AIX operating environment.
To upgrade from version 3.2
- Prepare existing data for upgrade:
- Back up the Sage database.
- Back up Sage 3.2 installation media and documentation in case rollback is required.
- (Optional) To save changes requested during campaigns, run the Sage DNA application and click Audit, Import User Requests. The requests are saved as an audit card.
- Uninstall all components of Eurekify Sage v.3.2 - server, DNA client tools, and reporting tools.
- Install the current release of CA RCM.
- When you run the installer, specify the existing Sage database. The installer updates database schema and creates additional databases.
- Perform initial configuration of the portal.
- Create universes and match configurations into the universes accordingly.
- (Optional) apply configuration changes that you saved in Audit Cards.
