How to Upgrade Campaigns from CA RCM r3.2

Certification campaigns that you created using release 12.5 SP1 or earlier of CA RCM are incompatible with this release. Because of their different structure, campaigns you created using CA RCM release 3.2 cannot be upgraded automatically using the Upgrade Legacy Campaigns feature of the CA RCM portal.

Follow this procedure to upgrade campaigns from CA RCM r3.2:

  1. Perform an upgrade installation of CA RCM. Specify existing CA RCM databases when you install.

CA RCM upgrades database schemas during installation and identifies legacy campaigns in the database.

  2. Save certification decisions to an audit card for a campaign you want to upgrade.

Note: Click the Export v3.2 Campaign to Audit Card option from the Campaign Administration screen.

  3. Import Certification Decisions to a new campaign using the audit card you created. When you create the new campaign, duplicate the following settings of the original campaign:

The new campaign contains the decision data from the legacy campaign. You can use all the campaign management tools of this release with the new campaign.

  4. Repeat steps 2-3 for each campaign you want to upgrade.
