Compatibility with CA Panexec
The following issues are important if you operate CA PMO with CA Panexec, (unless you use CA PDSMAN along with these two products):
- Specify PANEXEC=YES in your parameter data set. This is necessary since the CA PMO SVC 18 intercept must execute before the CA Panexec SVC 18 intercept. When the value of PANEXEC is YES and you start CA Panexec after CA PMO, CA PMO stops and restarts itself to ensure that its SVC 18 intercept executes first.
Note: CA PMO does not reuse the ECSA that it needs when it is restarted. If ECSA usage at your site is critical, be sure to start CA Panexec before CA PMO so that CA PMO does not have to stop and restart itself. The following illustration shows the correct order of the CA PMO and CA Panexec SVC 18 intercepts:

- CA PMO does not optimize BLDLs for the CICS initialization routine load module DFHSIP. The CA Panexec SVC 18 intercept looks for the BLDL request for DFHSIP, and uses it as a trigger to initialize CA Panexec CICS routines. If CA PMO resolved the BLDL request for DFHSIP, CA PMO would immediately return to the SVC 18 caller and CA Panexec SVC 18 intercept would not see the BLDL request. (This should not affect performance, since only one BLDL request occurs for DFHSIP when CICS is started.)
