Removing Volumes from Management

The OFFLINE command removes entire volumes from CA PMO management. Before you take a volume in your data center offline, you should issue this command so that CA PMO does not manage libraries on the specified volume.

Format

The OFFLINE command has the following syntax:

F PMO {,OFFLINE=ALL}
      {,OFFLINE=volser name}
      {,OFFLINE=volser list}

This command has the following operands:

PMO

The CA PMO started task name.

OFFLINE

Specify this operand like this:

OFFLINE=ALL

Excludes all volumes from CA PMO management.

OFFLINE=volser name

Excludes the specified volume from CA PMO management.

OFFLINE=(volser list)

Excludes the specified list of volumes from CA PMO> management. Enclose the list in parentheses and separate each volser name with a comma. A maximum of four volumes can be specified.

Examples

F PMO,OFFLINE=ALL
F PMO,OFFLINE=USRVOL
F PMO,OFFLINE=(MYVOL1,MYVOL2,MYVOL3)
