If you are doing a non-standard update of a LNKLST library, or if you are doing a cross-system update but you are not using PMO/XSYS, you may need to delete the directory entry of a member from the managed list.
The M command has the following syntax:
F PMO,M=member name
This command has the following operands:
The CA PMO keyword.
Deletes the entry for member name from the managed list.
CA PMO responds to this command with the following message:
PMO340I nnnnnn MANAGED LIST ENTRIES INVALIDATED
The nnnnnn variable represents the number of deleted entries.
PMO/XSYS communicates this command to other systems. CA PMO replaces the entry in the managed list when there is another BLDL/FIND request for the corresponding member.
Note: If you are using LLA with CA PMO, an LLA refresh may be issued automatically, or CA PMO (or PMO/XSYS) may warn you that a refresh is needed. The action CA PMO takes depends on what parameters you specified in your parameter data set.
For instance, if you specified the parameters LLA=AUTO and OPERMSG=YES, CA PMO responds:
PMO519D LNKLST UPDATE DETECTED - SHOULD LLA BE REFRESHED (YES OR NO)?
If you specified the parameters LLA=AUTO and OPERMSG=NO, CA PMO responds:
PMO520I LNKLST UPDATE DETECTED - LLA TO BE AUTOMATICALLY REFRESHED AT hh:mm:ss
CA PMO issues this message:
PMO518I SELECTIVE LLA REFRESH TO OCCUR AT hh:mm:ss: FOR LNKLST MEMBER=member name
If you specified the parameter LLA=WARN, CA PMO responds:
PMO521I LNKLST UPDATE DETECTED - LLA REFRESH MAY BE REQUIRED
The messages shown above are CA PMO messages. The corresponding PMO/XSYS messages are PMO750I, PMO751I, PMO758I, and PMO759I.
You also receive messages PMO522I and PMO752I:
PMO752I D=data set name M=member name, S=system ID
On all z/OS systems, once LLA has been refreshed, you receive the following message:
PMO513I LLA REFRESH DETECTED
CA PMO invalidates all LNKLST entries in the managed list as they are referenced. When the LLA refresh is complete, CA PMO gets new LNKLST information from LLA.
