XSYS Parameter

This parameter is required if you use PMO/XSYS. It indicates the systems that are to receive information about directory updates. If you specify this parameter, PMO/XSYS is started automatically when CA PMO starts up.

Format

The XSYS parameter has the following syntax:

XSYS=cross-system option

where cross-system option has the following value:

system-ID1,system-ID2,...,system-IDn

PMO/XSYS passes information about directory entry updates to each system specified as a value to the XSYS parameter. Put blank spaces to the right of an SMF system-ID that is less than four characters long.

Default: None

Examples

XSYS=CPU1,CPU2,CPU3 
XSYS=SA  ,SB  ,SC

Note:

• Keep the following items in mind when using the XSYS parameter:
• Do not specify the XSYS parameter if you do not need PMO/XSYS.
• If you have more than one CA PMO parameter data set, you must specify the exact same SMFIDs in the same order for the XSYS parameter in each data set.
• If you change any system-IDs on this parameter after PMO/XSYS is installed, you must reformat the control file. For more information see Starting CA PMO.
• Do not code any other parameters on a statement that contains the XSYS parameter.
