The average cost of one hour of a user's time. Users may be database accessors, data entry personnel, managers, programmers, and even customers (for example, bank machine users).
The USERCOST parameter has the following syntax:

The average cost of one hour of an end user's time, including salary, benefits, and overhead such as the terminal, floor space, air conditioning, heating, and so on. This value is expressed in the monetary units set by the MONYSYM parameter. The value of the USERCOST parameter is used in calculating total monetary savings. These calculations are shown on the D5 monitor displays.
Note: Be sure the value you supply for USERCOST is consistent with the monetary symbol that you specify on the MONEYSYM parameter.
