Step 8: Set Up the FDR Interface (Optional)

The FDR interface allows CA PMO to detect PDS updates made by the FDR (Fast Dump Restore) product from Innovation Data Processing. To install the FDR interface, follow these steps:

  1. Edit the INSTFDR member of the SAMP data set. INSTFDR contains the installation job for the FDR interface.

CA PMO uses the FDR Disk Volume OPEN exit and the Data Set Security exit. For more information, see the chapter "Compatibility with Other Products" in the CA PMO Systems Programmer Guide.

If you already have these exits installed at your site, edit the INSTFDR member and use the linkage editor control cards to link the exits together.

If you did not have one or both of the FDR exits installed prior to running the CA PMO installation job, you must inform FDR of the newly installed exits. For instructions on how to do this, see the FDR documentation.

  2. Specify FDR=YES in the CA PMO parameter data set to enable the interface.

Note: Specifying FDR=YES when the interface has not been installed will not adversely affect CA PMO or FDR.

Step 9: Set Up the CA Roscoe Interface (Optional)

To allow CA Roscoe users to use PMOMON, follow the instructions in yourhlq.SAMP member INSTROSC.
