Starting CA PMO Automatically at IPL Time

Authorizing the Load Library

The CA PMO load library must be APF-authorized. You can authorize the library by specifying it in the IEAAPFxx member of SYS1.PARMLIB.

Test Starting CA PMO

If you are using the PMO/XSYS option, you must format the control file when you start CA PMO for the first time after installation. You must reformat the control file every time you change the value of the XSYS parameter in your parameter data set.

Enter the following command on one system that runs CA PMO:

S started_task_name,FORMAT=YES

When CA PMO starts, it responds:

PMO001I CA PMO 4.4 ACTIVE

When PMO/XSYS becomes active on that system, it responds:

PMO701I PMO/XSYS 4.4 ACTIVE

When PMO/XCF becomes active on that system, it responds:

PMO801I - PMO/XCF 4.4 ACTIVE)

Starting CA PMO Automatically at IPL Time

As an alternative to starting CA PMO by issuing a start command at the console, you can allow CA PMO to start automatically when you IPL your system.

On all systems that run CA PMO, add the CA PMO start command to the IPL commands in SYS1.PARMLIB(COMMNDxx).
