Mainframe authentication refers to your mainframe security system. This type of security requires a user to supply the CA Top Secret, CA ACF2, or RACF authentication name and password to gain access to CA OM Web Viewer.
The mainframe username must match the User ID defined in CA OM Web Viewer. The mainframe username is your mainframe username on the same LPAR as the DRAS used for licensing check.

Note: Any user who is verified by mainframe security, but does not have a user account set up in Web Viewer will be automatically enrolled in CA OM Web Viewer and have access to the Default User Role.
