Introduction

Web Viewer provides two ways of authenticating users in CA OM Web Viewer Version 12:

• LDAP authentication

  Allows users to view mainframe reports without having mainframe set up credentials for those users.

  Note: With LDAP authentication you can enroll users into Roles based on their LDAP attributes.

  For more information, see the Profiles section.

• Mainframe security, CA Top Secret, CA ACF2, or RACF, authentication.

  There is a default user Role that mainframe users can be enrolled into.

Note: Different users on the same system will be authenticated with different methods.
