Delete an Interface from the Active Interfaces Page

Follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the NFA console with an account that has Administrator privileges for CA Network Flow Analysis.
  2. Locate the interface in the list of monitored interfaces and remove it from that list, as described in Verify Monitored Interfaces.
  3. Open the Active Interfaces page:
    1. Select Administration from the NFA console menu.

      The Administration page opens.

    2. Select Interfaces: Physical & Virtual from the Administration menu.

The Active Interfaces page opens, which lists the current routers and their active interfaces.

  4. Expand the interface list for a router by clicking the arrow on the left edge of the router row.

The view expands to show a list of the interfaces for the selected router.

  5. Select the check box next to each interface that you want to delete.

Some or all of the buttons at the top of the Active Interfaces page are activated. The Edit and Delete buttons are active only when a single interface is selected.

  6. Click Delete.

    A confirmation message opens.

  7. Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete the selected interfaces.

All of the selected interfaces are deleted from the Active Interfaces page. In addition, the historical data and associated CVIs, aggregations, and links are deleted. The deleted historical data includes Flow Forensics, custom reporting, analysis, and traps.
