Delete and Disable Interfaces

You may want to delete router interfaces permanently when it is not useful to report on them individually. For example, you may want to delete multiple LAN interfaces that are connected to a router. You continue to monitor the WAN interface that carries the data out of the router. Alternatively, you can disable interfaces temporarily so they are not included in reports. You may want to disable interfaces temporarily to eliminate clutter from your reports.

You can delete and disable interfaces in the following ways:

• Delete Interfaces from the Active Interfaces Page: To delete an interface or router from the Active Interfaces page and decrease the license count, follow the steps in Delete an Interface from the Active Interfaces Page.
• Disable Interfaces from Appearing in Reports: To delete an interface or router from CA Network Flow Analysis reports, but still display it on the Active Interfaces page, follow the steps in Disable an Interface from Appearing in Reports.
• Delete a Router and Its Interfaces Completely: To delete a router completely, follow the steps in Delete a Router.
