(MIM) SWITCHLOG Command
The SWITCHLOG command lets you switch to a new log file. This command tells CA MIM to start recording information in the next file associated with the log.
SWITCHLOG name

Identifies the log that you are removing.
Note:
- Use this command only if you previously added DD names or dsnames through ADDLOG command. Do not use it when the log is defined as a SYSOUT data set.
- Use this command only when multiple DD names previously defined through the ADDLOG command and are defined for a single log.
- The order in which these log files are defined on the ADDLOG command, determines which file CA MIM selects.
- When the last log file is in use and a SWITCHLOG command is issued, CA MIM uses the first log file and overwrites its contents.
Example:
To switch to the next file for log MIMTRC, issue this command:
SWITCHLOG MIMTRC
