8.1.3.1 Chargeback Limitations

The data sources providing data for use in the basic network
accounting feature of CA MICS are restricted to identifying
session information by primary logical unit (PLU) and
secondary logical unit (SLU). In a standard terminal session
with an application, PLU corresponds to the name of the
application (e.g., TSO, CICSTEST) and SLU corresponds to the
terminal identifier. There is no identification of the user
(e.g., TSO or CMS USERID) or the account code in the data
sources. Therefore, there is an implicit restriction when
using CA MICS basic network accounting that charges may be
assessed at no more precise level than by terminal within
application.
