6.2.2.6 CA NetSpy General Alerts

General alerts are created by CA NetSpy when measurements
from either CA NetSpy VTAM interface data or NCP interface
data fall outside user-defined thresholds. These alerts are
useful for identifying excessive response times, over or
under utilized resources, and congested virtual routes.

CA NetSpy writes general alerts to the CA NetSpy user-defined
SMF record with a subtype of X. These records are input into
the Network Incident File (SNTNIN) in the CA MICS Network
Analyzer Option.
