Selection, Rejection, and Compares Involving Date Fields

When performing selection or rejection based on a date field defined as in YYDDD, YYMMDD, or YY/MM/DD format, CA JARS Wizard takes the century into account. If the year portion of the date contains a value of 59 or less, it is treated as being in the 21st century; if the year is 60 or more, the date is treated as being in the 20th century.CA JARS Wizard makes the same assumption when comparing a date in YYDDD, YYMMDD, or YY/MM/DD format with a constant. Thus, for selection, rejection, or comparison purposes, a YYMMDD date containing "000103" (January 3, 2000) compares high against a constant of "991230" (December 30, 1999).
