Step 2. Configure Your System

Perform the following procedures to configure your HP NonStop SAFEGUARD system.

As SUPER.SUPER

1. Log on to your HP NonStop SAFEGUARD system
2. Issue the following commands at the TACL prompt:

   -  VOLUME instvol.CARELSCR
   

   instvol

   The name of your installation volume.

   -  RUN SFGSETUP
   

   SFGSETUP prompts you for information required to configure TCP/IP for communication with the administrative server. This information includes:

   • The name of the TCP/IP services file
   • The name of the host file
   • The TCP/IP host name of the HP NonStop SAFEGUARD system
   • The TCP/IP host name of the administrative server

   Note: The installation asks for the name of the host file only if a Domain Name Server (DNS) is not used. If the installation detects more than one TCPIP process, it prompts for the name of the TCPIP process.

   For example, SFGSETUP prompts with the following:

   • Enter the fully qualified name of the SERVICES file:$SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.SERVICES
   • Do you want to run INSTALL now ([Y]es/No)? Y
   • Do you want to install all functions ([Y]es/No)? Y
   • Do you want the Compaq NSK SAFEGUARD option to use a DNS ([Y]es/No)? N
   • Enter the fully qualified name of the hosts file: $SYSTEM.ZTCPIP.HOSTS
   • Enter the local TCP/IP node name for \CLXA: hpNonStop_server
   • Enter the remote TCP/IP node name of the ETRUST server responsible for managing this node: etrust_server
