Properties Dialog (Replay Export)

The Properties dialog lets you specify replay conversion parameters for *.urc formatted recording files.

This dialog contains the following fields:

Playback Speed

Defines the speed at which the recording is encoded as a percentage of the original speed. Note that this does not affect the frame rate. For example, encoding a 1-minute recording at 200 percent results in a 30-second video file. Setting the playback speed to slightly higher than 100 percent often results in a better viewing experience.

Frame Rate

Defines the frame rate, that is, the number of frames per second, at which the recording is encoded. Setting a higher frame rate results in a more fluid motion, but can substantially increase video file sizes.

Default: 10 frames per second

Image Size

Specifies the source video size of the recording. Valid values are Keep Original Size, Resize to Standard Size, and Resize to Custom Size.

Note: Recording files are saved at the resolution of the desktop on which they were recorded. However, high resolution video can result in very large file sizes, so reducing the image size at the source can substantially reduce the file size of the encoded video. Additionally, many video compression codecs have strict rules about source image size. Some permit only certain standard video sizes, for example, 320*240, but most insist the source dimensions are a factor of 4.

Default: Keep Original Size
